Coach Smith is a 1981 graduate of Greenville High School. He is starting his first year here at Greenville High School as the head boys basketball coach and also coaching HS boys cross country. He has spent half of his 32 years of coaching at Celeste High School. He coached last year at Gilmer High School. 

He has been happily married to Shannon Smith (Remax Four Corners) for 23 years. Together they have three children Shawn, Brittney, and Jordan. They are proud grandparents to six grandchildren. They live here in the Community and Coach Smith is looking forward to being back home!
