Coach Barcenez is entering his 20th year in education. He is a proud alumnus of the

University of Texas at Austin, where he earned his undergraduate degree. He also holds a

Master’s degree in Educational Administration from Stephen F. Austin State University.

Before joining the Lions, Coach Barcenez most recently served at San Antonio East

Central and coached Running backs and Wide Receivers. Previous to that he was the

Offensive Coordinator at Somerset High School.

Coach Barcenez is married and the proud step-father of three boys,

"I am incredibly excited to join this community and officially become a Lion. I look

forward to building on the traditions here and helping our students achieve their best,

both in competition and in life.
